Food Craft Institute (FCI), Deoghar, Jharkhand, was alive with vibrant energy as we celebrated the joyous occasion of Saraswati Pooja and Basant Panchami this year! The atmosphere was filled with devotion, festivity, and a sense of togetherness as students, staff, and faculty came together to mark these auspicious events.

The day began with immense enthusiasm as our talented students, with great creativity and dedication, put together a stunning pandal. The pandal, beautifully adorned, became the focal point of the celebration where Goddess Saraswati, the deity of wisdom and knowledge, was worshipped with utmost reverence by the entire FCI, Deoghar family. 

The celebrations continued with a peaceful and nourishing Satvik Bhojan, where everyone was served a wholesome meal, embracing the essence of purity and simplicity in line with the occasion. Following the meal, the festivities took a spiritual turn with an evening Sandhya Pooja, creating a serene and divine ambiance throughout the campus.

As the evening progressed, the energy shifted to a more lively note with a fun-filled Jam Session! Our students showcased their musical talents, filling the air with melodies that brought everyone closer in the spirit of celebration. 

The following day brought even more excitement, as we gathered for the Hawan ceremony. With prayers and blessings, the entire FCI family united in offering gratitude and seeking the divine’s grace for prosperity and success. The celebration reached its peak when vibrant Abir Gulal was poured over the idol of Mata Saraswati, and students joyously embraced the colors of Basant Panchami. The playful spirit of the occasion was evident as everyone celebrated with the beautiful yellow hues of spring.

The grand finale of the celebrations was the Saraswati Ji Visarjan, where the deity was carried in a carriage, accompanied by prayers and hymns, to a nearby water body. This final ritual, performed with the highest respect and devotion, marked the culmination of the festivities in a traditional and solemn manner.

This year’s celebrations were a beautiful blend of devotion, joy, and togetherness. We are immensely grateful to our wonderful team of students and staff for their hard work and dedication, which made this event memorable. The blessings of Goddess Saraswati have truly filled our hearts with wisdom, and the joy of Basant Panchami has infused new energy into our community.
