Dr. Nripendra Singh Lingwal is an accomplished academic leader and hospitality professional with over 24 years of experience spanning the hospitality industry, higher education and institutional leadership. He currently serves as the Founder Principal of the Food Craft Institute, Deoghar, where he has played a pivotal role in advancing hospitality education through visionary leadership and academic excellence.
Beginning his professional journey with prestigious organizations such as the Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi and Grand Hyatt, Dubai, Dr. Lingwal transitioned into academia, holding senior teaching and leadership positions at Graphic Era University, Amrapali University, IHM Yamunanagar, and other renowned AICTE-approved institutions. As Director of Renaissance College of Hotel Management, Uttarakhand, he transformed the institution into one of the region’s premier hospitality colleges.
Dr. Lingwal holds a Ph.D. in Management from Uttarakhand Technical University and is UGC-NET qualified. His academic qualifications also include a Master of Hotel Management (MHM), M.Sc. in Hotel Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) from Symbiosis, Pune, a Hotel Management from the Government Institute of Hotel Management, Dehradun, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from D.A.V. (P.G.) College, Dehradun.
An active researcher and academic administrator, Dr. Lingwal has presented and published numerous research papers in national and international conferences and peer-reviewed journals, contributing significantly to hospitality education and academic literature. In addition to his research contributions, he has authored one book and contributed chapters to three books, further enriching the academic literature in hospitality and management. He has also played an active role in curriculum development and university governance, serving as a Paper Setter Evaluator, External Examiner, Observer, Exam Superintendent, Flying Squad Member and Syllabus Designer.
