Makar Sankranti Celebrations at Food Craft Institute, Deoghar

Food Craft Institute (FCI), Deoghar, Jharkhand celebrated Makar Sankranti in the most spectacular fashion! The skies were filled with vibrant kites as students, staff, and faculty came together for a day full of fun, tradition, and joy.

The celebrations kicked off with a warm and enthusiastic start, led by our wonderful Principal, Dr. Nripendra Singh Lingwal, who launched the event with excitement. The kite flying competition saw spirited participation from everyone, as kites soared high, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and the arrival of a new harvest season. It was a sight to behold, with colorful kites dotting the sky, creating an atmosphere of pure joy.

Adding to the festive energy, the day was further elevated by a lively jam session where students showcased their musical talents. The air was filled with rhythm and melody, creating the perfect soundtrack to the celebration.

No Makar Sankranti celebration is complete without traditional food, and we made sure to indulge in some of the most delicious festive treats. The highlight of the lunch was a mouth-watering spread of Khichdi with ghee, Chokha, and Til Kut, a perfect combination to warm our hearts and stomachs on this special day.

This celebration was a wonderful reminder of the warmth of tradition, the spirit of togetherness, and the joy of shared experiences. At FCI Deoghar, Makar Sankranti was not just an event, but a beautiful celebration of community, culture, and fun.

Here’s to many more celebrations filled with laughter, kites, music, and, of course, great food!
