SUKRITI: A Vibrant Celebration of Art and Tradition at Food Craft Institute Deoghar

The Food Craft Institute (FCI) Deoghar hosted SUKRITI, an exciting and colorful inter-house Rangoli competition that brought together creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation. With an emphasis on using versatile ingredients to create stunning designs, SUKRITI allowed students to experiment with a variety of materials, all while staying true to the cultural roots of Rangoli. The competition emphasized the importance of precision, innovation, and cultural relevance—core elements of the art of Rangoli.

The students carefully planned the layout, ensuring that their Rangoli would not only align with the theme but also be visually striking and well-executed. The versatility of materials used was a key aspect of this competition. In addition to the classic colored powders, participants used flower petals for a natural, fragrant touch, colored rice to create intricate patterns, grains like lentils and pulses for texture, and beads for decorative accents. These versatile ingredients allowed the students to play with color gradients, layering techniques, and textures, making each Rangoli not only a visual delight but a testament to their ingenuity.

After a day filled with creativity and competition, the Culinary Crusaders emerged victorious, earning accolades for their exceptional work. The fine detailing and symmetry of their design showed great technical proficiency, while the overall composition was aesthetically pleasing and symbolically rich.

Beyond the competition itself, SUKRITI encouraged the students to bond as a team, solve problems collectively, and explore their artistic potential. The event also allowed them to experience firsthand the joy and fulfillment that comes from working toward a common goal and sharing their creativity with others.
